In 1943, the Bf 109 entered service, while its performance was less then stellar, its worth derived from the ability to be easily modified into dedicated fighter bomber, high altitude interceptor or reconnaissance. Likewise great care was taken to make sure the G6 could fit heavy armament for attacking bombers, which were beginning to appear in force over Germany, and the shortcoming of the Fw 190’s at high altitude became increasingly apparent. Kurt Tank, the designer of the venerable Fw-190 lineup quickly realized by 1943 that the field of aerial warfare was changing rapidly. The world had moved on beyond dive bombers, and the allies had begun forming massive, four engine bomber wings that devastated. Axis ground troops and factories. At the time, Fw-190’s played similar rolls to the American P-47 Thunderbolts, serving as ground attack planes and low altitude interceptors. Detailed Plastic Kit of model   Attention ! 1:72 F-104 G "Recce"

The model F-104 G Recce in 1/72 scale has a length of about 231 mm. Decals for 3 versions. The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is one of the most famous fighters in the history of aviation and also one with the longest operational life: its history began at the end of the 50s and ended, for some air forces, in mid 2000s. Its unique airframe, with slender fuselage and very little wing surface, made this aircraft ideal as an interceptor. Thanks to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine, it could exceed Mach 2,2 with an excellent rate of climb. But it wasn't very maneuverable and difficult to pilot. The F-104G Starfighter was produced on license by several European aviation industries. From the mid 60s, it became the standard interceptor for many NATO countries including Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, and Turkey. The armament was basically the same found on previous versions, with a 20mm Vulcan cannon and the option to fit under the wings air-to-air missiles, bombs, or additional fuel tanks to increase the airplane's range. With time, reconnaissance duties were added to the traditional interceptor service. The F-104G was therefore fitted with a dedicated "Orpheus" reconnaissance external pod that gave excellent operational results.   Attention ! Ne convient pas aux enfants de moins de 14 ans.

The Corsair obtained many outstanding aerial victories. In the Pacific Ocean theatre alone, the F4U shot down over 2,000 Japanese aircraft, with a loss of only 189 Corsairs, resulting in a kill / loss ratio which has never been equaled throughout history. This aircraft was produced for ten years, until December 1952, a fact which established the Corsair as the American aircraft to remain in production for the longest period of time after the Second World War. Article number: 510001419 Product: 1:72 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Programm TWO MODELS INCLUDED Length of the model 167 mm > X-32; < 196 mm > X-35B During the ‘90s the United States Department of Defense launched the JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) contest to assign the production of a new 5th generation Multi-role combat aircraft. Boeing participated to the contest with the concept demonstrator aircraft X-32 while Lockheed Martin presented its XF-35 prototype. The Boeing X-32 was developed and realized around a large one piece carbon fiber composite delta wing and characterized by the big size air intake placed under the cockpit. The Lockheed Martin reply was based on the XF-35, using a lot of technology and aerodynamic solutions already successfully adopted on the fighter F-22 Raptor. For both concept demonstrator aircrafts were developed several applications as the conventional take-off / landing version and the STOVL (short take-off and vertical landing) version. On 2001 the Department of Defense announced that the Lockheed Martin X-35 won the JSF competition and from it the new F-35 Lightning II was born. The Macchi MC.205 is a development of the previous MC.202 Folgore, undoubtedly the best fighter plane used by the Italian Air Force during the 2nd World War. This aircraft, with a more powerful engine, offered excellent handling and good speed, although it had limited armament which, however, was increased during production with the addition of two 20 MM cannons. But the limits of Italian industry prevented production from reaching the necessary level for the war action requirements of these aeroplanes, and the quantity of machines delivered to the squadrons was insufficient to influence the overwhelming air-power of the Allies.   Attention ! This plan did not materialize due to serious problems with the aircraft’s engines. All of this resulted in a series of modifications which ended with the realization of the Model 410. Yet, despite all the improvements, the airplane inherited some technical problems which made sufficient distribution to all the various Luftwaffe units impossible. 1:72 MiG-21 Bis

Article number: 510001427 Product: 1:72 MiG-21 Bis SUPER DECALS FOR 4 VERSIONS - COLOR INSTRUCTIONS SHEET The Soviet fighter Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-21 is the most widely produced supersonic jet aircraft in aviation history. Commonly known as ‘Fishbed’, the aircraft was a mid-1950’s aeronautical project which in its design followed the natural evolution of arrowwing fighters. The delta wing, shape, high speed, the tremendous manoeuvrability, the weapons variety and its load capacity, had been the principal factors of its commercial success. In fact, the Mig-21 routinely equipped the fighter squadrons of the Soviet Union and the then Warsaw Pact countries. Beyond Europe the fighter was also widely acquired and operated by global allies of the Soviet Union over a period of many years. The Mig-21 ‘Bis’ version was one of the most technically advanced of its type. Thanks to its powerful Tumansky jet engine the ‘Fishbed’ was able to attain a maximum speed of 2.100 Km/h. Its principal armament was a 23 mm cannon and four underwing areas to load a wide array of further weaponry. The Mig-21’s operational life has been very extensive covering conflicts from the 1960’s through to the 1990’s. Detailed Plastic Kit   Attention ! Ne convient pas aux enfants de moins de 14 ans.

Thanks to its SNECMA afterburning turbofan engine, it is able to reach the speed of Mach 2.2. It has a great maneuverability and it can carry a various set of offensive weapons. The Mirage 2000C is often considered the first new generation fighter, produced in Europe, to be entered in operational service. The design was to also include much better protection for the pilot by having increased armor around the cockpit, however this increased it’s weight substantially. It was the first American fighter to receive more than the standard x6 .50 caliber M2 Browning Machine guns, a total of 8 all together. The P-47N-15 can in many ways be considered an more specialized fighter version of the P-47D series of fighters, being built solely for a boom and zoom strategy. The key difference separating the P-47N from both the D-series and other planes in general at the battle rating is it’s top speed and maneuverability. bordering on just below 800 km/h, and with an airframe that can support it. This, coupled with its 8 devastating M2 .50 Brownings make it an extremely deadly and dangerous opponent.

1:72 XB-70 Valkyrie

The model XB-70 Valkyrie in 1/72 scale has a length of about 790 mm. Decal for one version. In the Cold War era the dream of every strategist was to own a bomber with the load capacity and autonomy of the B-52 able to fly faster than the B-58 and so the B-70 programme came into being. After years on the drawing board, and cutthroat competition between Boeing and North American Aviation, the latter’s design won the heated competition in December 1957, with an order for the first 30 aircraft to be in service by 1965. In 1959, however, it became clear that the still untested B-70 would not survive the new aerial combat scene technology and the programme was cut back to a minimum. Two prototypes were finally constructed, the first of which took to the air in September 1964, and the XB-70 Valkyries showed themselves able to fly at speeds exceeding Mach 3. Today they are considered by many scholars and airplane buffs to be the most beautiful aircraft ever constructed.   Attention ! Ne convient pas aux enfants de moins de 14 ans.
