1:100 Assault gun III layout B

Article number: 500786155 Product: 1:100 Assault gun III layout B Size: 5,3 cm Parts: 11 No glue required Designed to destroy fortifications and support infantry attacks, the Sturmgesch'tz III (or StuG III for short)'meaning assault gun would actually be the most-produced armored vehicle in the German army during World War II (with more than 10,000 constructed). Based on the proven Panzer III chassis, this vehicle had no turret, allowing it to mount a more powerful gun and more armor than a traditional tank, as well as reducing the costs to build. As the German military struggled against the well-armored Soviet tanks, the purpose of the StuG III was expanded into the role of tank destroyer. The Ausf. B model was completed by June of 1940. Compared to the earlier model, it featured wider tracks and a simplified transmission. It was protected by 50mm of armor in the front and its 75 mm StuK 37 L/24 gun gave it a more powerful offensive punch than the Panzer IIs, IIIs, and IVs. However, the fact that it did not have a turret made it vulnerable to more mobile attackers, while its lack of a machine gun made it vulnerable to infantry attack. Article number: 500786157 Product: 1:100 Sd. Kfz. 222 Armored Car Size: 4,6 cm Parts: 18 No glue required The German military built nearly 1000 of the light armored reconnaissance vehicle Sk. Kfz. 222. The vehicle's 80 kilometer per hour road top speed and 40 kilometer per hour cross country top speed made it a valuable compliment for panzer units that needed a reliable recon vehicle. It performed excellently in countries with good roads, like Western Europe, but struggled in the Eastern Front and North Africa because of its poor off-road performance. Based on a typical heavy off-road truck, the Sk. Kfz. 222 was equipped with 5 to 8 mm of armor plate and a turret-mounted 20mm KwK 30 L/55 autocannon and a 7.92 mm machine gun. 1:100 US-Medium Tank M-4A2 Sherman

Article number: 500786263 Product: 1/100 US-Medium Tank M-4A2 Sherman Size: 12 cm Parts: 26 No glue required Nicknamed for the unstoppable Union general from the American Civil War, the M4 Sherman was the most common tank fielded by the United States during World War II, and many of them were sent to aid Great Britain and the Soviet Union through the Lend-Lease program. Built to be reliable and maneuverable, the Sherman tank was easy and cheap to mass produce, allowing the Americans to outnumber their enemies. This advantage would more than make up for the fact that late German tanks could easily outclass the smaller M4. Ironically, when the M4 first entered service at El Alamein in North Africa, it's 75mm gun and 93mm of armor was superior to the light and medium German tanks used in that battle. This led American planners to conclude that the Sherman would be good enough to win the war, and there was very little tank development after that time. As heavier (and stronger) German tanks entered the battlefield, the M4 lost its advantage, and became dependent on numbers, artillery support, and air superiority to defeat the superior German designs. 1:144 WWII Wargame AddOn Ger.JU-87 Stuka

Article number: 500786123 Product: 1:144 WWII Wargame AddOn Dt. JU-87 Stuka Size: 7,5 cm Parts: 8 No glue required In many ways, the famous Junkers Ju-87 Sturzkampfflugzeug (dive bomber)'better known by its nickname Stuka'was the symbol of German air power during World War II. Created by Hermann Pohlmann in 1935, this deadly attack aircraft made its first appearance in the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War. With its distinctive inverted gull wings, fixed landing gear, and wing-mounted Jericho Trumpet sirens, the mere sight of a Stuka struck fear in Germany's enemies. The Stuka was designed to drop its payload as it reached the bottom of an almost vertical dive, which was controlled automatically by the airplane's mechanical systems. This allowed it to hit ground targets with remarkable accuracy. It also sported a pair of 7.92mm machine guns that it could use for strafing runs. But while the Ju-87 featured innovative engineering, was sturdy, reliable, and very effective against ground targets, it was very vulnerable to fighter aircraft because of its poor maneuverability, slow speed, and lack of defensive weapons. During the war with the Soviets, as Germany lost air superiority, the Ju-87 proved too vulnerable to Soviet fighters, and was gradually replaced by the Focke-Wulf Fw 190. As a part of its armament, it had ten 305 mm guns and there were no medium-caliber guns. HMS Dreadnought also became the first battleship in the world with a steam turbine, allowing a very high speed for those days ' 21 knots. Due to that speed advantage, the new battleship could choose the best distance for battle, and due to the greater number of 305 mm guns, it had an undefeatable tactical advantage over other battleships of the time. Ironically it was never involved in important battles of WWI.
